Certificate course qualifying participants as persons competent to conduct testing per BetrSichV §2(6) and TRBS 1203.
This practical seminar delivers foundational knowledge for testing portable electrical equipment per VDE 0701 (post-repair verification) and VDE 0702 (recurrent tests). Technical qualification requires professional training, work experience and regular further training. (TRBS 1203, 3.1(4)).
Practical Training
- Operation of device testers per VDE 0701 / VDE 0702
- Inspection and assessment of test subjects
- Measurement of protective conductor resistance and insulation resistance
- Measurement of protective conductor current and touch current
- Differential current measurement (direct, alternative, equivalent leakage current)
- Testing PC systems and IT equipment
- Testing PRCDs and PRCD-S devices
Theoretical Foundations
- Mandatory testing requirements (BetrSichV, TRBS 1201, DGUV Regulation 3)
- Organizing company testing programs
- Risk-based inspection intervals
- Appointing competent testing personnel (BetrSichV/TRBS 1203)
- Test equipment calibration and documentation
- DGUV Information 203-071 (employer testing organization)
- VDE 0701 and VDE 0702 test requirements
- Equipment quality assessment per intended use (DGUV 203-005/006)
- Testing personnel requirements (DGUV 203-070)

2 seminar days, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each
Notes
- VDE 0701 and VDE 0702 also covers permanently installed plug-in devices (e.g., water heaters, wall-mounted heaters, AC units). Stationary machinery testing covered in seminar M07.
- Bring your own test equipment for practical exercise. If needed, we will advise on suitable devices and measurement equipment.
- Per DGUV 203-071 p.22: EIPs and task-specific electricians cannot test independently but may assist in testing teams. Please take a look at our E01 and M03 Seminar
Completion
Qualification certificate and optional „Person Competent to Conduct Testing“ ID card upon passing exam (seminar meets VDI 4068 Part 4 requirements, ≥40% practical content).
